In the complaints sent the National Authority of Land Conflict Resolution and others, they reported that they had been living in the location since 1996. At that time, they were recognized by communal chief and allowed to farm on the land in accordance with the request to own 2,800 hectares there.
Later on December 10, 2008 the company brought with 4 AX and engines to clear and bulldoze the residents’ forest land and farmland, but the company claimed that they had got legal land title, which was also recognized by the authority. The act affected 385 families in the place, who had mainly depended on the land for a living. Facing this matter, they informed communal chief and district governor, but the authorities just promised and their problem could not be solved.
